Project Summary
Before contacting OTC Industrial Technologies, the Mountaintop team was working with another supplier to purchase their own compressed air system, but they were unhappy with the complex and expensive strategy. The project leaders turned to OTC when they learned how DIRECTAIR® provides other food and beverage manufacturers with the compressed air they need with zero capital expense.
After reviewing the project requirements, OTC suggested DIRECTAIR®’s specific efficient, oil-free compressors, dryers, and compressed air boosters to meet the needs of the sterile beverage manufacturing environment. To manage costs, DIRECTAIR® offers a FOURTH UTILITYSM compressed air service that eliminates the capital costs, with Mountaintop paying one monthly fee for the air it uses.
OTC monitors, manages, and maintains the service directly using an in-house proprietary system, unlike the basic third-party systems that are prevalent in the industry. It provides remote control of the compressed air system, air pressure, flow, and dew point, with predictive data to avoid potential equipment issues. This is critical to Mountaintop’s aseptic manufacturing that preserves fresh, quality ingredients into shelf-stable products.
DIRECTAIR® provided Mountaintop Beverage with the clean, sterile compressed air solution it needed — a solution that also reduced its financial burden and maintenance and repair needs while providing a 100% uptime guarantee. The manufacturer has been completely satisfied with the solution and continues to work with OTC to plan future improvements and projects.
